Like most traumatized children, the flame of my sacred nature dimmed and flickered, fading from my awareness at an early age. Every fiber of my being was attuned to the world around me-forever on guard against the lurking shadows of danger that seemed to dance at the edges of my consciousness. After experiencing childhood adversity and trafficking, I devoted my life to understanding how families could heal trauma, unlock their hidden power, and remember what is sacred. After nearly 40 years serving severely traumatized children, teens, couples, adults, and families as a Registered Nurse and Trauma Therapist, I discovered during the course of my own spiritual awakening that in the depth of every traumatized family lies a hidden power, a sacred potential waiting to be remembered and awakened.
